EPHEMERAL LIGHT

In search of an edible, biodegradable material. This project confronts two materials with a similar appearance: sugar and glass.

The focus is on how to create color from natural products. Through numerous tests with fruits, plants and fruit and vegetable peelings, some proved conclusive, such as the use of avocado pits.

By cooking this used product, it reveals a taupe to flesh color. The color is preserved during cooking and is also conducive to light diffusion. This random rendering conjures up a unique and mysterious object, enigmatic in its conception. However, the main material could not be consumed for the time being, due to a cotton textile matrix. This ensures the object's durability and resistance to impact.

This vitreous material allows me to protect the sugar from the heat exerted by the lamp.
